Hole 19 Whiskey Tasting: Introductory Class to Scotch
Join us at The Tavern for the final session of our Hole 19 Whiskey Tasting series! Led by Prayoot “Pray” Charoenthep—a Master Bourbon Taster from Whiskey University, retired U.S. Air Force Lieutenant Colonel, and former military diplomat—this interactive, 2-hour introductory class explores the complex, regional world of traditional Scotch whisky. During this exclusive, interactive class, guests will learn how to evaluate and navigate the diverse flavor profiles of Scotland, comparing regional variations from smooth, unpeated Speyside malts to bold, smoky Islay drams. Using a refined wine-tasting approach, Pray will guide you through unique expressions across the nose, palate, and finish while sharing the rich history, age-old traditions, and distillery stories behind each bottle. Guests are highly encouraged to share their own tasting notes and favorite clubhouse stories throughout the evening. Ticket price includes 6 premium samples total, premium Glencairn tasting glasses for each attendee, fresh water, club soda, and a selection of light appetizers provided by the Queenstown Harbor culinary team. Space is strictly limited to 20 guests to maintain an intimate, conversational atmosphere.
