“The Academy at Queenstown Harbor” is designed to help every level of golfer improve and enjoy the game, whether you are a new player or you’re pursuing elite status. At Queenstown, we have highly trained and motivated instructors that love to help people! You can work with each of our instructors individually, but we have also developed some amazing programs for juniors and adults alike that lower your cost and your score.

Junior Programs
If you have a desire to play golf in high school or college, we know how to get you there. Our Junior Programs are designed for any junior golfer who wants to learn and have fun while doing it! All areas and phases of the game will be covered.
PGA Junior League
The PGA Junior League at Queenstown is a great way to continue to develop your juniors golf skills in a fun team atmosphere. In 2015, Queenstown finished 2nd in our section for the 13 & under division. In 2016, we are adding a 16 & under division to allow for older juniors to compete and continue to develop as golfers. In 2019, Queenstown is excited to offer a 17 & under division as well as a 13 & under division. Register for our team today!
New Player Programs
In a fun and relaxed environment, our New Player Programs will help you learn the rules, etiquette, terminology, short game, set up and swing mechanics of golf. Putting, chipping, pitching and the full swing: we’re here to help you build a solid foundation that you can build on for years to come.
Elite Player Programs
The Academy at Queenstown develops champions. If you are a highly motivated player and want an individualized road map to become the best golf player you are capable of being, our Elite Player Programs are for you. These programs will cover the physical and mental aspects of your golf game.

Todd Howard
P.G.A. Professional & Instructor at Queenstown Harbor
Todd Howard has taught more than 30,000 students and trained hundreds of golf instructors over the last 30 years. He started playing golf at the age of 12, began teaching at 21 and turned pro at 23. He played professionally on the Florida, Golden State and China Tours before becoming a Head Instructor with the John Jacobs Golf Schools when he was 27. Todd considers himself fortunate to have learned directly from John Jacobs, a mentor to many of today's best teachers. Among his biggest trademarks are his well defined Junior programs, which are designed to help young golfers becomes skilled competitive players. Todd hopes “The Academy at Queenstown” becomes the go-to place for getting the most out of your golf game.It’s always more fun when you hit the ball well and score better!

mike sabol
Head Golf Pro & Pro Shop Manager
Mike Sabol is Queenstown Harbor's Head Golf Professional. Passionate about the game, he considers himself lucky to do what he loves for a living.
Mike started playing golf in high school and admits his competitive nature was a significant factor in pushing him to play and practice as much as possible. He became completely addicted to the game and when he found out he could turn it into a career, he was "sold."
Mike loves being around the game of golf, talking about it, watching it and teaching people. He also has a lot of pride in the Queenstown Course. "I hope it shows," he said.
Mike has a degree in Political Science from Penn State University. He is married with two children and loves golfing and going to the beach in his free time.
"I love being able to watch a player grow in the game and see their confidence level increase as they get better."

Josh Hendricks
P.G.A. Assistant Golf Professional
Queenstown Harbor welcomes Josh Hendricks, the newest member of our professional staff. Josh has always had a passion for sports, fitness and health. He discovered a love and fire for the game of golf in high school and never looked back.
Golf quickly became Josh’s career when he chose to attend Methodist University in Fayetteville, North Carolina where he graduated with a BS Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in PGA Golf Management. Josh obtained his Class A membership into the PGA of America in 2013. He loves to teach and wants to help you to play more competitively, beat your low score or to just have more fun on the course.
Josh believes that the future of the game lies with the next generation of golfers and is excited to be a part of the growing junior program at the Queenstown Harbor Academy as well as teaching golfers of any level.
